Lost our picture downloader...

Well we lost our picture downloader and as i was preparing to admit this on this blog I found it. So i do promise pics are coming soon!

Just thought i'd admit before anyone who reads this that being a mommy is tough. I am not a very patient person. I am starting to homeschool Ellie with some preschool materials I've been working on putting together. And well we are on day 3 and well Ellie was pretty testy today, but so was I. Nor do i know how much to expect from a 3 year old.

PHEW.

If you think about it pray for me. I'd appreciate it! :)

Hey Libs.. just thought I would say hi and let you know that I will remember you in my prayers! I know what you go through!! I am currently doing a Bible Study called Wisdom for Mothers by Denise Glenn (her daughter sings in Caedmon's Call). It is a wonderful study that nails all aspects of a mom's life: her children, her husband, her work, etc. I am doing it with one other wife, but you can still learn so much even if you do it alone. Just thought I would tell you about it! Hang in there!! :)

Hi Lib,

I just wanted to encourage you to make this time with Ellie FUN, FUN, FUN. When I first started Pre-K with Anna I was so serious and thought of all the things I HAD to teach her (or so I thought). I ended up losing my patience more often then not and then realized "hey she just is now four, she is still young, lighten up!" And that's what did. Even now, I incorporate poetry - some silly and some pretty - silly songs - nursery rhymes - rhyming games - painting to music. Make it fun for her. Teach her learning IS important AND fun. It took me a while to get over myself and learn this. Meanwhile, trust me, there is much more for me to learn. I am not the expert on homeschooling.

I do love you and will be praying for you.

Emmy agrees with Emily! And we'll have fun fun fun till our poppops takes the computer awaaaay. Seriously, lots of learning is incidental and can be done through games, songs, and silly dancing.
Besides, what goes around comes around ( : Just kidding Bibs!!!!!

Libby,

Hi. I don't even know if you will remember me.... I was Adrienne Owens, I am now Adrienne Kleeman. Anyway.....

I ran across your blog and I hope you don't mind me contacting you.... I see that you are homeschooling your 3 year old. I am also a homeschooling Mommy. Mine are a little older, but I think its neat to find others that homeschool.

My little family moved back to the S'ville area last year.

If you would like to get in touch I will leave my email and my blog...

Blessings
Adrienne
